Desta forma, as subestações Brasília Centro e Águas Claras, por motivo desconhecido, deixaram de receber energia. Pouco mais de 10 minutos após a falha, o fornecimento por Brasília Centro foi restabelecido, o que permitiu o alinhamento dos trens em plataforma.
