"articleBody": "<p class="texto">O Egito anunciou, nesta quinta-feira (26), a descoberta de quatro tumbas de faraós e uma múmia de mais de quatro mil anos em Saqqara, perto do Cairo, após serem apresentadas com notoriedade pelas autoridades egípcias.<br /></p>
<p class="texto">As descobertas foram feitas na necrópole de Saqqara, sítio arqueológico conhecido pela famosa pirâmide do faraó Djoser, um dos monumentos mais antigos da humanidade. As quatro tumbas foram atribuídas à quinta e sexta dinastias egípcias, entre os anos 2.500 e 2.100 antes da Era Cristã.</p>
<p class="texto">O arqueólogo Zahi Hawass explicou à imprensa que ali foi enterrado Khnumdjedef, sumo sacerdote do faraó Unas, cuja pirâmide fica na mesma região. Durante as escavações, com 15 metros de profundidade, os arqueólogos também encontraram um sarcófago de calcário em estado de conservação "exato" ao de "4.300 anos atrás", informou Hawass.</p>
<p class="texto">Quando o abriram, encontraram uma múmia coberta em ouro, "uma das mais antigas e mais bem conservadas", disse o arqueólogo.</p>
<p class="texto">A necrópole de Saqqara, situada a pouco mais de 15 quilômetros ao sul das famosas pirâmides de Giza, é considerada Patrimônio da Humanidade pela Organização das Nações Unidas para a Educação, a Ciência e a Cultura (UNESCO).</p>
<p class="texto">Nos últimos meses, o Egito revelou ao mundo uma série de descobertas importantes, principalmente em Saqqara, mas também em Luxor, no sul do país, onde o Ministério de Antiguidades informou na última terça-feira (24) a descoberta de restos de uma "cidade romana inteira" que remonta aos primeiros séculos da Era Cristã.</p>
<p class="texto">Para alguns especialistas, no entanto, a sucessão de descobertas pode ter mais motivação política e econômica do que científica.</p>
<p class="texto">O Egito, que tem 104 milhões de habitantes, vive grave crise econômica e o setor de turismo é uma das principais motores de sua economia.</p>
